New User - 3 Questions

Postby WT » 25.03.2007 20:41

I have the following 3 items I could not find the answer to.

1) I can not find the setting to have BD open full screen, or at least to have it remember the setting after I change it. Every time I open BD, it starts 1/2 screen and the first thing I have to do is maximize the program. How do I make BD open full screen, maximized, each time?

2) Every time I open a saved draft, a < is inserted at the beginning of the file? So if I have saved changes and opened 6 times, "<<<<<<" will appear at the start of the document. What's the reason for that? I can manually delete them, but need to remember to do that each time.

3) I edited the .cfg file to change the location of data for back ups. Actually, I added the path since the .cfg file was completely empty. Is it normal for this file to be empty after installation?

1) Forget Maximize for a moment and just change size and position - does BlogDesk remember this?

2) Very strange. I will have to investigate.

3) Yes, that's the default behavoir. BTW: Do problems 1 and 2 appear if you don't change the user path?

On #3. Ok, thanks !

On #2. Ok, let me know if you need more info if you don't see this behavior. Would have thought it would have brought up here before if other users saw it.

On #1. Yes it does remember if I manually resize. Why did I not think of that. I will be fine resizing manually once and then having it remember after that.

And I checked and #1 and #2 DO happen even if I don't change the use path

Thanks!

Were you ever able to track down number 2 in my original post? It still does this every time I open a saved draft.
