blogdesk vs XML-RPC Library for PHP

Post by b83s » 17.08.2006 12:00

Hello,

Thank for this nice program, at this moment i am creating an own implementation with blogdesk and keith devens his xmlrpc class. Almost everything is working.

link:
http://keithdevens.com/software/xmlrpc

but one thing i am not getting correct. When i call the metaWeblog_getRecentPosts action i get the list of posts and the content text, but when trying to edit an item blogdesk is transforming <p> in <p> and all other html related content gets tranformed.

Could you tell me how blogdesk is expecting to recieve the content text? at the moment this is a normal string (i tested it)

Thanks Gijs.com

Well, blog systems mask <p> as <p> when they return a post. Isn't this the way it should be done within XML?

BlogDesk expects characters like < or > to be masked. Insert a debug file in the options (under Extras) and retrieve a post from any WordPress blog - you'll see how they do it and how BlogDesk expects it to be done.
