Problems inserting HMTL from Youtube and Picassa Web albums

Postby mikelos » 09.11.2006 14:40

I have a problem inserting code from my videos on Youtube and Picassa Web albums.
*Youtube, the code

Code: Select all

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VztrXXxdsPc"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VztrXXxdsPc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="600" height="350"></embed></object>

Does not show the video, I published a correct and bad example here: http://cgmedia.cl/mikelos "buen video" and "mal video"

*Picassa web albums code
It shows the image but don´t show the styles for the div elements. This is the code:

Code: Select all

<div style="text-align:center; width:194px; font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:83%;"><div style="height:194px;background:url(http://picasaweb.google.com/f/img/transparent_album_background.gif) no-repeat left;"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/mimikelos/CumpleaOs29"><img src="http://lh4.google.com/mimikelos/RUYCb6hTABE/AAAAAAAAAGA/1oY5afkZLvg/s160-c/CumpleaOs29.jpg" width="160" height="160" style="border:none;padding:0px;margin-top:16px;"></a></div><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/mimikelos/CumpleaOs29"><div style="color:#4D4D4D;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;">Cumpleaños 29</div></a><div style="color:#808080"></div></div>

In the same link you`ll see two expamples.

ps: excuse me but my english is terrible.

With your YouTube video, try the following:

Code: Select all

<p><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VztrXXxdsPc" width="425" height="350" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" /></p>

Maybe you won't see the video in BlogDesk, but you should see it on your blog when posted.

I don't have an answer for your Picasa question, maybe somebody else will help.

I had the same issue.
I'm a Firefox user, and it didn't occur to me that Blogdesk must be using Internet Explorer's engine for rendering.
The problem seemed to resolve itself when I installed the shockwave plugin for Internet Explorer.
