WP - Something like the "Show on Front Page" plugi

Postby discolightning » 07.03.2007 01:02

I understand that in Blog Desk, you can choose not to "publish" a post after submitting. However, it would be great if there was an option to "show on front page" that could be checked or not. For example, i have a post that will be regularly updated, but I don't want it shown on the front page because it's a list of obituaries. To work around the problem, I just changed the date so it could still be referenced by a permalink, but not immediately visible.

I would use a page in wordpress, but the rich text editor doesn't work, and the content will be edited by someone much older than me.

thank you.

BlogDesk can only offer functions that are supported by the interface of the blog system - and WordPress does not support such a function. Using the date-workaraound (with a date in the future or the past) seems a good idea.
