With WP 2.3 now supporting tags it would be a great help to be able to specify tags as we publish the post from Blogdesk. In the same way in which we can add trackbacks.
Otherwise we'd have to go to the blog in order to add tags to the post after publishing it with Blogdesk. Very unefficient.
I love Blogdesk and would like to keep using it....
Thanks!

Specifying tags
wordpress tags
Wordpress tag support would be very helpful.
If there is some work around by adding specific tag code by hand, that might work too.

tag functionality
When you get around to incorporating the tag functionality, please include the auto "suggested tags" from the content or from Yahoo services. Saw it implemented in headspace plugin of Wordpress.

Support for tags
It would be very important to have support for tags in BlogDesk.
Try the plugin SimpleTags. There is an option for embedded tags. Here is the description for this setting:
"Enabling this will allow Wordpress to look for embedded tags when saving and displaying posts. Such set of tags is marked [tags]like this, and this[/tags], and is added to the post when the post is saved, but does not display on the post."
In Blogdesk you need the "Technorati-Tags-Generator" an under "Format" this line:
If you now use the generator, the tags doesn´t displayed in your post, but they´re in the metainformation of this post.
I hope, you could understand what I mean, my english is not the best. ;)

I use the WordPress.com service, and I don't think that I have the option of adding any plugins such as this one. I think another solution will be required us wp.com users.

I just implemented the m.s. suggestion, using Simple Tags and Blog Desk Technorati Task-Generator. It was easier than I expected and I didn't create any problems with it - it worked perfectly first time.
You can use this solution in a very simple manner (as I did) and you can also take advantage of the many advanced options in Simple Tags.
Highly recommended!
